i dont think you are using the word how it is understood...... sleepers arent something that you re supposed to fall asleep while driving.....

i know, but “sleepers” usually have some sort of redeeming quality, like top speed, handling, acceleration........ and that paint is still pretty shiny, mint looking......

i’m not saying that it CANT be made to run.....ju$t that it co$t$ a lot of monie$ to make it happen..... and that for that total investment you might be happier finding a more suitable platform from the get-go

165hp in something that weighs probably 2500lbs. It has a pretty good chance of being somewhat fun. You don’t need power to have fun. I have “less than 200"hp(in quotes, because The Smoking Tire discovered they were putting out a little over 200, but still not a lot) and 3rd gear puts me WELL into reckless driving speeds. Some of the most fun cars ever built have been slow.

BUT its not quite “sleeper........”

that smacks of monies.......and LUCK finding one(Levin BZR)....... hows about? getting the manual one, the widest tires( 275 or 295 50 15, on whatever offset close to fits) and the gnarliest sway bars that can be found at a pick a part.... and then..... and then.....CORNERS......and.......MUD.....
forget the profit....... by the time we’re done with it, there wont be much more than a smoldering crater left to cry over.........
